Curtis Roberts
Curtis joined the firm in January 2003. He was born in Liberal, Kansas on St. Patrick’s Day 1977. Curtis was raised in Guymon, Oklahoma, where he won the starting quarterback job on the high school football team over his older brother Graham, who is now a radiologist. Curtis earned his undergraduate degree in marketing in 1999 from the University of Oklahoma, where he was a member of the Sigma Phi Epsilon fraternity, a house boy for the Kappa Kappa Gamma sorority, and volunteer for the Children’s Miracle Network. He received his Juris Doctor degree from the University of Tulsa in 2003, where he was a member of the Phi Delta Phi honor fraternity and the Senior Articles Editor for the Tulsa Journal of Comparative and International Law. His article, Anthrax: Not Just a Heavy Metal Band, while not chosen for publication, presumably due to the controversial title, is available upon written request. In the classroom, Curtis was selected to the Dean’s Honor Roll and received the CALI Excellence for the Future award in Insurance Law and Criminal Procedure.
Curtis’ practice includes litigation in both state and federal courts, insurance disputes, over the road trucking, products liability and family law. He is admitted to practice in Oklahoma and the federal district courts for the Northern, Eastern, and Western districts of Oklahoma. Curtis is a member of the Defense Research Institute and the American, Oklahoma, and Tulsa County bar associations. In his spare time, Curtis is a committee chairman for the University of Tulsa College of Law Alumni Association. He and his wife, Kristen, enjoy watching their pug, Ruby, chase their German Shepherd, Stella, around the neighborhood. Their first child was born in 2007.
